Charity Gala Dinner
On 13th October we were kindly invited to the Gala Charity Dinner in Abbaye Neumünster organized by The Charity Incubators and Farad Group. Not only did we get the chance to present our small NPO but we also got to enjoy a round table dinner with our sponsors from Banque de Luxembourg.
Over 200 people and 18 charities with admirable missions participated in the Gala Charity dinner, but we were lucky enough to be voted first place. We proved once again that no one’s too small or too young to make a difference!

Sharing for Christmas 2022
Christmas is a time for giving and spreading love. Including from you all the way to Nepal. Help us gifting the kids in Nepal a present this year, by participating in our Christmas fundraiser below. You can purchase a pouche, available in three colours and handmade by local craftsman we visited in Kathmandu. Don’t have a Christmas present for your loved one yet? Why not gift a Nepalese pouche? They are made from “Topi”, a headdress that is part of the Nepalese national costume for men.

Cooperation with the Zürcher Comité
After a break induced by the pandemic, the 60th edition of the Zürcher took place this year. Sharing a Smile had the honor of being chosen as the ASBL to which the deposit that was not handed in at the bar would be donated. We thank the committee from the bottom of our hearts for their support!
Sharing a mile 2022
On 17 September 2022, the Sharing a Smile team organised the second edition of the “Sharing a Mile”. This time, the charity run was organised in the park behind the Coque in Kirchberg.
A big thank you goes out to all the volunteers who helped us!
Grill for a cause
As part of the ING Night marathon in Luxembourg, we had a stand in the Luxepo where the runners picked up their race numbers the day before. We used this stand to tell people about our project.
On the day of the ING Night Marathon, we had a stand on the Glacis in Luxembourg City. We had a barbecue and sold drinks and cakes. The evening was a huge success thanks to the numerous support of our friends. We are very grateful that our friends are so committed to our project, because without these helping hands the organisation behind this evening would not have been possible. Once again, a big thank you to everyone who was there that evening.

Sharing a Mile 2021
Sharing a mile was a charity run which took place in September 2021 in the heart of Luxembourg city. We combined the run with a BBQ, drinks and lots of homemade cake. All was accompanied by good music! With the help of 80+ runners who ran lap after lap, as well as friends and family who bought food and drinks, we can proudly say that this has been our most successful event yet and we hope to see you next year at our second edition!
‘Doudgeball’ contest
In July, we organized a ‘Doudgeball’ contest with a barbecue to celebrate the end of the school year. While our players were competing for the first place in a sports hall, we had a barbecue and sold drinks outside. The event was accompanied by music to make sure that everyone had fun.

Kniddelverkaaf
Let yourself be tempted by a portion of delicious “Kniddelen”. The purchase of a portion of “Kniddelen” guarantees six complete meals for the orphans of Nepal. In addition, we will also sell jute bags and stickers. The children of the Helpless Children Home thank you for your generosity!

Frëschkëscht took the generous decision to sponsor Sharing a smile.
A first step from their side is their offer to pay a meal per week for the children during two weeks (from 5. June of 19. June). The orphans receive a filled plate with vegetables, milk products, rice, meat and last but not least fruits. A Frëschkescht contains as many fresh products as the children are going to benefit from through this partnership.
Buy a local and seasonal box full of Luxembourgish delicacies over the upcoming weeks to help the Nepali orphans lead a healthier life.
